Roll-On - perfect packaging for antiperspirants and perfumes

Are you involved in the manufacture of personal care products for the body or the face? Are you looking for packaging that combines aesthetics and functionality? If so, then be sure to include roll-on packaging in your assortment. It is sure to be a very good investment. Now some words about the packaging itself and their features.

What is Roll-On packaging?

Roll-On packaging is colloquially known as 'ball cosmetics'. At the heart of their design is the characteristic ball used to spread the product on the skin. This allows the product to be applied evenly, which is particularly important for underarms, eyes and the whole face.

The unique design of the Roll-On packaging also allows for:

  • nourishment and hydration of delicate skin,

  • saving of the product,

  • the possibility of using many different cosmetic products (e.g. lotions or emulsions),

  • the possibility to apply the product without touching it or getting your hands dirty with it.

Application and characteristics of Roll-On packaging

What are the most common types of cosmetic products that are placed in a roll-on packaging? The most common are various types of deodorants and antiperspirants, eye creams, moisturising gels and skin rejuvenation products.
Roll-on packs are also ideal for companies that specialise in different types of perfume. The simple application system means that a minimal amount of intensely scented product is applied to the skin. A smaller supply of fragrances also means less risk of irritation and many other undesirable allergic reactions.

Remember that roll-on packaging also provides better isolation of the product from the environment. As a result, the cosmetic product:

  • can wear out practically to the end without any risk of losing its care properties,

  • retains its original properties for a long time,

  • is protected from the effects of moisture and UV radiation,

  • is securely sealed inside the container at all times,

  • is partially insulated against fresh air.

How is the Roll-On packaging constructed?

As an experienced distributor of cosmetics packaging, we make every effort to ensure that our Roll-On packaging meets the expectations of all our customers. In order to do so, it is necessary to introduce certain technological solutions thanks to which the closure is safe for both the cosmetic inside and its surroundings. The aim of our efforts is to achieve maximum packaging integrity. To this end, we are introducing ball packaging, which consists of three basic parts.

  1. The bottle containing the cosmetic. It determines the capacity of the packaging and its attractiveness in the eyes of customers. The bottle is also a kind of marketing and information space, through which you can create your brand and provide the most important information about the cosmetic product on offer.

  2. Fitment with a ball inside. This is the element that we believe plays the most important role in the entire package. It is what makes it properly sealed and at the same time provides a stable base for the application ball.

  3. Closures that interrupt product application. It is an element whose function is to immobilise the ball and thus stop the dosage of the product inside. Once the so-called cap has been tightened, the container remains completely sealed.

How is Roll-On packaging inspected?

Every cosmetics packaging manufacturer is obliged to deliver a product with the best possible properties, the extent of which will be in accordance with the order. In addition to this, we further check them in our Quality Control Department. Our aim is to introduce reliable and leak-proof Roll-On's to the market, where every component is manufactured according to technical specifications and properly tested. So how does the test procedure take place? Well, it consists of three stages:

  • filling the test pack with water,

  • tightly closing the package,

  • placing it in a dilute atmosphere (vacuum).

During testing, the cosmetics packaging manufacturer verifies that the Roll-On packaging remains leak-proof even when the pressure is reduced to the maximum. If leaks, cracks or other damage of a mechanical nature occurs, design changes are required to eliminate these faults. We also take care to ensure that the packaging is not damaged by chemical preparations of a certain composition and pH. To this end, we are focusing on the introduction of plastic roll-ons and mini roll-ons made of glass with increased mechanical resistance. In addition to white packaging in several shapes, we also offer a black roll-on and a brown glass mini roll-on.

We encourage you to familiarise yourself with our range of Roll-On packaging, which is functional and attractive, and which your customers will certainly appreciate.
